Ariel Skavdahl, PT, DPT
“My favorite thing about physical therapy is helping people improve function and decrease pain in order to return to their passions. I love when I can discharge a patient with their primary complaint resolved!
Ariel graduated from the University of Nebraska with a major in athletic training and minor in psychology, earning her DPT from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. “When I was just twelve, my father tore his rotator cuff. He was not a good patient as he was “too busy” to go to his appointments. I ended up doing his PROM exercises with him at home. While he ended up needing a revision surgery a year later, that experience shaped me.”
Previously, Ariel worked as a pediatric therapist helping children achieve their maximum potential. “I love working with children of all ages and have been working with many young athletes to improve sport performance.”
Ariel has special interest in the use of intramuscular dry needling to release muscle and fascia restrictions and improve functional movement.
She enjoys cycling, running and hiking, and loves to bake anything that includes chocolate!
